KYC UPDATE REQUIRED FOR YOUR VIRTUAL/RESERVED ACCOUNT
The Central Bank of Nigeria, released a circular regarding Tier 1 accounts, specifically virtual accounts. New KYC requirements on account creation/maintenance.
Virtual/Reserved account enables you to fund your MaxiTeller wallet with direct bank transfer via our payment provider. As a result of this circular, CBN has mandated the payment provider to include BVN and/or NIN in the KYC requirements to create a virtual account. This also means we must update all existing virtual accounts on MaxiTeller with BVN and/or NIN.
To make this process simple and fast for you our esteemed customer on MaxiTeller, we have ensured you can update your existing reserved account with your BVN in one click by following these steps:
1. Click here to download the latest version of MaxiTeller mobile app on Google Playstore or login via the web app at - https://app.maxiteller.ng*
2. Login to your MaxiTeller app
3. Tap on "More" on the bottom navigation
4. Tap on "Profile"
5. Tap on "Verify Identity"
6. Input your BVN and tap on Verify BVN
Every virtual account without at least BVN by January 31st will be terminated and payments to such account will be rejected. In order to continue funding your wallet with bank transfer, it is important to update your KYC information.
